1. Used to make a variety of organic products

2. For the production of formaldehyde

4. Used in the manufacture of methyl formate
In industrial production, methyl formate can be used to produce chemical products such as formic acid and formamide; in addition, methyl formate can also be used as insecticide, gasoline additive, tobacco treatment agent, etc.
5. Used in the manufacture of growth promoters
Methanol also plays an important role in agriculture. The growth promoters made from it can help increase crop yields and keep the branches and leaves of crops green and vigorous; it is especially beneficial to the growth of crops in dry land, and can greatly reduce irrigation water.
